While I was never fond of Putin for being an autocrat, I thought of him as being pragmatic. But since his invasion of Ukraine, I wonder what is really going through his head or in which reality he is living. It's obvious that he ignored his own state intelligence or his more grounded experts were too afraid to speak out about Ukrainians opinions and loyalty.
This war isn't going at all the way he planned it, I can't see any good scenarios if he is to stay in power. What is his final goal right now? Either he doubles down, provoking massive civilian casualties or he somehow manages to topple down the Ukrainian government and elites but is left with an ungorvenable country. All Putin that he is, he is a cornered beast and that is very scary for Ukrainians and even Europe. I just hope for a putsch before things spiral out of control.

Tu oublies de mentionner que 40% de ces 13 000 victimes, sont des soldats ukrainiens.
Une partie du Donbass, aidé par des militaires russes essayait de faire sécession, n'importe quel pays aurait effectuer une opération militaire pour empêcher la séparatistes d'aller plus loin. Malheureusement il y a eu des victimes civiles coincées entre les tirs des 2 côtés.
Neanmoins, 13 000 victimes sur 8 ans, ca reste peu ... compare avec le nombre de victimes Chechens quand ils ont voulu faire sécession de la Russie .. on parle de 100k morts en 2 ans lors de la 1ère guerre
