My New Year's was not so good. Paid $400 for 2 tickets a party with friends at a restaurant: 3 course meal and all all you can drink. We got one drink and then one course of the meal was served cold. The waiters disappeared. We went looking for the staff and found that the cooks had disappeared and the waiters were all back in the kitchen, drunk as a skunk. No more booz. Tomorrow, the host is going to try to get a refund.

Thanks for nice words about Sophie !!! Yes diner of the last day of the year are not always as promissing as they are supposed to be !!! Last year in Buenos Aires it was a bit too much also, they ask big money for the diner at Carlos Gardel place and even if food was fine and show nice, it was nothing to compare with what we had last night ...
It was fantastic !!!

Curious George stole some of my words about Sophie, Pierre. Tell her she looks stunning, really beautiful and you are one lucky man.

As for me, I earn almost one third of my income over Christmas/New Year so it has been hectic. I think your hotel looks the sort of place I can spend some of the earnings on a short vacation. Just think, I can sit where the great Pierre sat and his gorgeous wife. (The similarity ends somewhere there!)

Happy 2014 also! sorry just saw this thread..by the way Pierre you are right about Argentina, I traveled often to south america for some business and I spent new year´s eve with my wife 3 years ago in Isla Margarita in Venezuela.man! that place was a beautiful blast off!
