Have you read the Minsk agreements? Apparently not. Then you would know what you are talking about.alexandrow wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 8:16 amI read the article about Merkel. She said with the Minsk agreements she wanted to give Ukraine time. Time to get stronger to defend itself. She never said it was to get stronger to start a war or something.
What do you think she was feeling after the Crimea annexation. Yeah Russia go on? Go take more?
Sometime it sounds like people just hear what they want to hear.
The Minsk agreements were written to fulfil the obligations set out in those agreements, not to neglect them for some other purpose! There were clear commitments to be fulfilled by the parties. Then there would not have been a special military operation by Russia in Ukraine now. There would have been no need for it and no logical justification on Russia's part. These agreements were signed by the president of Ukraine and the representative of Dombas. And also, I underline, the signatures of the presidents: France, Germany and Russia, acting as guarantors of the implementation of these agreements. This is an international treaty approved by the UN. And now it is clear that Germany and France, having signed this treaty and acting as guarantors of its implementation, were brazenly stalling and not going to implement it. How can we trust you after this? Who will have anything to do with you? And you used this temporary head start to pump Ukraine with weapons. It has simply now become clear that the real purpose of concluding these agreements, on the part of Ukraine, France and Germany, was not to implement them, but to deceive the people of Dombas and Russia. And the Ukrainian authorities' plans to retake Dombass and, after that, Crimea, by military means is already known from intelligence reports and captured Ukrainian high-ranking officers (Azov and others). So Merkel and Hollande knew it too. Don't think they are naive fools, they are hypocritical and deceitful, yes, but not naive.

As for Crimea, it became part of Russia, after a popular referendum. All within the framework of the UN Charter on self-determination of peoples.
That's it!!! On this topic, in this forum thread, I will say no more. There is a detailed discussion of these issues in a separate thread on this forum. I have explained everything in detail hundreds of times. Take it and read it. We will not clutter up this thread.
P.S. By the way, there are other Russians living in Germany apart from you, and I have many friends there. Well, they think differently than you do, although they also get news from Germany. Because they try to think with their own heads, based on their great life experience and knowledge. One of my friends is Alexander Sosnovsky, editor of the online publication WORLD ECONOMY. He has lived in Germany for more than 30 years, and he knows everything about Germany. Listen to what he has to say...
