When I was in the military here in the US we dreamed of fighting a war against Russians, because all other nations and people in the world are just losers that got their asses kicked and their countries invaded and razed by our US Army or US Marines, or just didn't have the balls to fight us to begin with, and made their population to become our economic slaves (and they still bow down and kiss our butts when we travel there, such our Western European friends, or Latin American countries, like Colombia and Brazil, that never had the guts and the dignity to stand against us, and that population main goal is to come to Miami to be our slaves and doormats, cleaning our American toilets and washing our dishes).
Russia (and China, Chinese kicked our ass in Korea) seemed like the only worthy adversary.
But now, as Russians are getting their asses beaten by a small country (Ukraine) that was basically invaded and lost wars to everyone, since the Huns, going through Mongols, Turks, Romanians, Russians, Germans and everyone else, and which main industry is to export pornstars and hookers to Western Europe, I totally think that a war between US and Russia would take exactly 5 minutes, the time for the Russians to surrender.
Russia should just focus on Mariupol, take the city and then file for an armistice to save face and stop being humiliated.
End this pathetic show of incompetence once and for all because is getting ridiculous.

The latter could not retaliate since they no longer had the financial support and no more support in armaments, finally, they lose. The United States thus lost the Vietnam War since the pro-Americans lost.
So yes a small country with 5 millions people kicked out the big USA !!!
David and Goliath is not a new story and yes Putin thought he will need 3 days to take Ukrain and Zelensky will ran aways etc ...
We don't know yet how the war will end up but obviously if tomorrow there was a nuclear war between USA and Russia nobody will be the winner and both side will loss ALL !!!
USA did not impressed me in Irak, and in Afghanistan but even looked super weak with Syria once the Russian was involved.
I think we need be very carreful in all idea about who is able of what ... I feel more and more every day that at the end the poor Ukrain will be a new Libanon because of the "gracious" help from USA and EU happy to play the fireman with oil instead of water inserting their weapons inside the conflict and testing it against the Russians.

Don't pass off the silly predictions of Western analysts as the real state of affairs.
Since 2014, Ukraine has been methodically stuffed with weapons. They ruined the country's economy, but pumped up the army, purposefully for the war. NATO instructors were constantly working in Ukraine. As of 2022, the Ukrainian army was the third largest and best equipped in Europe, after Russia and France. But according to my assessment, even the latter just did not have nuclear weapons, although it was actively and secretly developing them. Also the Slavs, know how to fight.
At the moment, on the Ukrainian front, there is a very limited grouping of the Russian Army, 120000-150000 troops, plus about 50000+ troops of the Donetsk and Luhansk militia, which is much smaller than the regular Ukrainian army, plus their reservists and conscripts who are already engaged in combat operations in Ukraine.
Russia only engages 20% of its military capabilities in Ukraine, out of an army of over a million.

Pierre, I think you overestimated russia. 20years of total corruption and total theft leads only for result that their elites have large amount of money and estate in EU and USA. After had a big loses in Ukraine they even ask China to support military them in this war. Their minister of Defence Mr. Shoigu mystically disapper about 1 month ago and nobody said what happens. So I think there's a big problems inside russian army and EU and USA nothing to fear. As for Russia's rich "elite," they haven't had the influence on the political elite that they used to have. And the recent events and sanctions were a good lesson for them. I know many very wealthy people in Russia. A friend of mine, about 15 years ago, assured me that when he bought property in Italy, he was confident in the inviolability of private property and the immutable values of Europe in this respect. Only now he realized that all of this turned out to be bullshit and chewing gum for anyone who considers the West to be the guarantor of the values it declares. The disappointment is very great.
