Yeah but Sberbanks in Europe was made by Austria on behalf of Gazprom, but they closed all their banks ( excepted in Serbia where name was changed ) and put of job thousand of people from one day to another and if you had more than 100 000 euros in the bank this money DISAPPEARED !!!
So I don't know how much money Europe has stollen with this action on ALL RUSSIANS banks in europe but WHY THE SIMPLE CITIZEN SHOULD NOT SEE THEIR MONEY AGAIN IF THERE IS A WAR BETWEEN RUSSIA AND A NOPN EU COUNTRY ???

A good friend of mine had nearly 900 000 euros in Vienna on his Sberbank account but they closed his bank end of February.
Now he got only 100 000 euros back but for the rest of the money he got a box of kleenex !!!

And so many things are like that !!! I am so tired of the politics ...

Sorry to hear about your friend's loss. The way how deposit insurance works in Europe is horrible.

This war again shows how messed up our world is. The great powers play their games and the common man is ground to dust under the gears.

Me i'm not sorry at all, to hear that a dude, lost 800k, when at the side, there's people who loss lifes, childs, there's mores important things to think about in these difficult time, that a Russian dude, having lost in spéculation, at Vienne, probably dirty money too, i have read, on this forum, that Russian people have been got trained for "hard life", and that Russia have everything, and that the Euros and Dollars is on their way to colapse, so, what those fuckers are doing with their money in Vienne ?

@Jean, Pierre never said that his friend is Russian. Sberbank's European branch is a normal daughter corporation and it had a regular bank license. It's customers, according to a local news article, were predominantly German citizens and not "a Russian dude, having lost in spéculation".

Not defending Sberbank, just providing some information.

I am really sorry for your friend. I have some colleagues who quit and decided to hire with Sberbank in Vienna instead because they believed it was a better bank - they lost their job over a weekend. I even warned one of those guys 3 years ago that it was dangerous to work for a russian state owned bank in Europe because the politicial situation could change anytime but he didn't believe me. I have tried to reach him now but he didn't reply.

Yes you see I don't lie ... It's terrible because it has nothing to do with the war and sadly this is regular europeean citizens who are impacted !!!
