Piracy is false problem,
majors are now owning the whole media panel,
ie internet providers+tv channel+media content providers(cinema and music)
so they increase the fees in one branch to compensate the loss in the other.
For example cinema or concert tickets prices exploded in last years
Look at majors, none of them is dying ie time warner earnings from 2005-11 are
2.4;2.43;2.88;2.97;1.83;2.41;2.82.
Just look here
http://data.cnbc.com/quotes/TWX/tab/5.3
you will see no signs of weakness in the sector.
I know a lot of sites which propose only pay per scene,no subscriptions and these sites are dying because if your content is good and is pirated wealthy people with no time to wait, will download one scene and then subscribe because they do not want to bother wasting their time searching, only kiddies do because they have both time and no money.
Also in a perfect world no websites would be registerd in tax havens like gibraltar, hong kong etc....
i would just be curious to know if you observed a significant increase in subscriptions since the recent events.
