I am guessing that most of the readers on this forum do not know how important he was to the sexual evolution.

In 1953 he borrowed $7000 and published the first edition of Playboy magazine. It was very controversial. On the cover was an nude photo of an unknown aspiring actress. Her name was Marilyn Monroe. In 1953, you could not say the word pregnant on TV. Married characters could not share the same bed. The bathrooms had no toilet. The post office refused to deliver those obscene magazines to homes.
It took the American Civil Liberties Union, with their money for expensive lawyers, to fight the government all the way to the Supreme Court to get the obscenities laws changed. In the 1970's, Playboy was selling 7 million copies a month. Now it is around 600,000. Blame the internet for that.
If it had not been for Playboy and the ACLU, Pierre might not have the American market he has now. Hugh will be buried next to the grave of Marilyn Monroe.

Barbie Benton appeared on the cover 4 times. This one in 1969. Hugh Hefner and I shared her: me in my dreams and he in his bed.

When she was 18, Hugh asked her out on a date. He was 42. She said "I have never dated anyone over 24." He said "That's alright, neither have I."

Hugh said that he will keep working until the day he dies. He was 91. If Pierre follows in Hugh's footsteps, I will be 109 when he finally writes his book, and by then I won't care about sex, only about waking up.
