Agreed on this too.. The fight against piracy is the literal fight against windmills.
I understand the frustration, if your latest work shows up on all the tubes an torrents within hours, but it simply is what it is. As long as some "members" are cloaked pirates in reality, and there is no viable technology to protect your work, it's just an uphill battle you cannot win. Even Hollywood with all its might and the music industry could't win it..
If measures taken are not helping at all, but just frustrating paying customers, there must be better options to consider..
You nail it. If there would not be paying customers uploading their files in the piracy platforms, those platforms would be empty. And there are technical solutions for that. Nobody needs to download videos anymore (netflix, disney+ et. al. show it) a change to a different streaming format would solve that problem. Then the whole update mess could be avoided.

Absolutely. Although I'm not too hopeful concerning streaming, since Netflix et al. get pirated too. And there are literally dozens of browser extensions for stream-recording. But we'll see what the future has to offer in this area..
Streaming is ok, but what you do if you want to watch a random paid XXX/wunf scene, and for X reason, your internet connection is out ? (Wifi and 4/5g). Or if the server plateform is out ? (Like it was the case with Facebook last year)
You wait that your connection come back... But if you'd have downloaded the scene, you could've watched it immediatly, and there's still guys who want to keep their favorites porn scène in USB Key/ssd, for personal storage, not necessary for share on pirate site
The irony here is that it really is the paying members who are pirating videos and while Pierre thanks all the loyal members, I don't think he realises that one of the members is the main culprit leaking the videos. Downloads are good to have a personal collection but then people upload it to pirates. If you look at Mr Andy Casanova his content is avaialble to purchase but you cannot download this. You buy it and it's yours forever, but if you need to watch it then you have to log in and go to your purchased folder. You can't download it for yourself. The content is still owned by him. But it seems pirates always find another way.

Yes, but at least you do it less comforting. The "update" strategy has proven to be completely unsuccessful anyway, the files are still everywhere, if you are e..g. a member at vk they scream at you without being looked for. The moment an update gets online, the new version goes to the pirate sites. So it is unsuitable to fight piracy, it only frustrates members.
Surely it would be the better strategy not to make your product worse by slicing it into seperate parts and then update them years later or never to fight something you can not change anyway, but to concentrate on winning new members by giving them the best prossible customer experience combined with the best product.

I agree. This update strategy is not successful because the only thing it does is frustrate members even more to wait for girls and when the years pass , the hype and nostalgia is gone. Not only that, when the video is finally relased, these long awaited videos are still being pirated and put on tubesites. So there really is no way to prevent it.
Miracle solution doesn't exist but still after 13 years this site is alive when so many died or ended in the hands of biggest piracy sites owners !!!
I'm actually the last independant producer with a big name and I'm ranked in the first 30 000 sites of the world.
Even Rocco now is between the hands of Gamma group, Manuel with WMG etc ... so yes it's hard to keep my place but I do my best for it with the support of loyal people and NEVER any pirates sites owner will get my business ( Pacaud got some little part after he bought Private and so on but it's only 15 % of what I did and probably at the end 5 % of what will be online when I will left this industry !!!
I'll fight until my last breath against them or yes maybe I can sale all but 20 M€ is the minimal number to convince me for this.
And if one day I feel there is not enough support here, I will close the site and will enjoy a "retired" life as most humans does around my age.
For now I'm happy, 2021 has been the best year ever since 2016 and I think because of an incredible end from November ( thanks Buntarka, Santos and Miss Blue ) I did a little better year than 2017.
From 2009 when I opened the site, 2016 has been my best year and 2018 the badest since 2011 !!!
But since 2020 the site goes back well and maybe 2022 will beat 2016, it's my biggest dream at this moment after January was the best month since September 2016.
So maybe my work strategy is useless for you guys but I know I am not making the pirates lives as easy as it could be if I always give up front everything.
I am the one and only who can see numbers, difference between scenes in three part or just one etc ...
So I consider what I do is the only solution to keep alive this site.
Let's see how will be this year ... I hope I'll keep the support I have for so many years and I'm thanksfull for to you all !!!

So it's not yours forever, It's on a cloud server, and you need to go online to access the folder, but if the NAS/server burn (OVH story), or if Mr Andy is drunk one day and decide to erase everything, all is gone and you are fucked up, only downloaded data is truly your.
