Without the job made by the ottoman turks, Berber people would not be as muslim as they are and would not use the arabic alphabet. The what so called arab invasion was a myth made by Nasser and islamo-baathist propaganda.

North Africa became muslim in the early 7th century, the Turks came only in 1516 and even it was limited to the main ports like Algiers.
