His playstyle favors the clay court. He is the best on clay but is he really the greatest? Take away the clay and the record doesn't look so good. In my opinion it's between Djokovic and Federer that performed better in all other 3 grand slams. Respect to Nadal. He's almost unbeatable on clay but he has been more of a one court bully on Roland Garros which heavily favors the slow pace and his top spin which he doesn't get on other courts.

At his best he had some amazing matches against prime Federere at Wimbledon and on hardcourt and came out on top . 2008 Wimbledon I think was just brilliant.

For me Rafa has a great case for GOAT but Federer in his prime went to semifinals minimum at every surface grand slam after grand slam like clockwork

Nole is 3 in my opinion slighlty younger and getting more slams after Rafa abd Federer not longer at their best.
That being said I seem to remember Nole being up 40-0 up on serve with 3 set points to get the first set in US open final when he was very young against Roger so he was always great and we have been lucky to see these 3 at the same time

And yes Federer until now I was thinking Federer was the best but for me they are 50/50 now ...
I hope Federer to be back and with Nadal to be at Wimbledon in good shape next month.

I think Djokovic can still be the GOAT as he is younger and can win at least 5 to 8 grand slam more if he is like Nadal and Federer in term of physical power until 2028 !!!

Agreed. Djokovic can get to more slams. Not sure I would rank him higher even if he ends up with more slams though.
Just as Rafa has more slams than Federer but its a coin toss who is the best really.

La question c'est sur quoi on se base pour dire qui est le plus grand joueur de l'histoire ? Logiquement ça devrait être le palmarès dans les grands tournois, ainsi que les records importants, ( aussi pt être l'époque a laquelle ils jouaient , Federer a gagné au début bcp de ses titres du GC contre des Gonzalez, Philippousis et Bagdathis, l'époque de Rafa et Djoko y avait une concurrence bien plus forte avec notamment des Murray et Wawrinka).
On fera le bilan lorsque les 3 auront arrêté leur carrière mais je doute que Federer gagne encore un grand tournoi ( GC ou masters 1000)et actuellement il est derrière les 2 autres( sauf pour les ATP finals qu'il a gagné 6 fois ),
Dans les têtes a têtes aussi d'ailleurs il est derrière.
Ça se jouera entre Rafa et Djoko, l Espagnol a 2 GC de plus et au niveau des masters 1000 c'est serré puisque Djoko est a 38 et Rafa 36, d'un autre côté Rafa a zéro ATP finals et Djoko 5 , sans compter le record de semaines à place de numéro 1 détenu par Djoko 373 semaines , aussi Djoko is the only holder of all 4 Grand Slams and Year-End Championship simultaneously.

Djoko can do 5 more I think ... Rafa maybe 1 or 2 if not hurt but Federer I think now will never win again unfortunately !!!
But I still dream about it ..

Alcazar is the next Nadal !!!
