Well I think it was a bit disappointing, not for Djokovic, except for his fans, but for tennis history.

To win 4 Grand Slam tournaments means to have 28 victories in every tournament on 4 different surfaces.
It is a very HUGE performance to do something like this, particularly nowadays.
When Rod Laver did his Grand Slam, there were only 2 different types of tennis courts. It was much easier even if Rod Laver was an incredible tennis player.

I hoped to see one person do the Grand Slam when I live. So I supported Djokovic for the history.
He won 27 on 28 of his battles. It is already an amazing performance.
Its so a difficult performance, I dont think that I will see it again during my lifetime.
Only Steffi Graf did it amongt the tennis women players in the Open Era.

Thats the important point, to win The Grand Slam in one year, the Calendar Grand Slam.
Its not to beat Federer or Nadal for the number of Grand Slams because next year, Djokovic could do it, by winning one of these 4 tournaments.

Medvedev was very good and deserved his victory. But tennis history will remember him maybe not as a great champion -future will tell it- but as the tennis player who prevented Djokovic from doing the craziest performance of tennis.

Thats why Djokovic won all the love of audience yesterday. He was too tired by his previous matches with Zverev, Berettini and Nishikori...He couldnt do more...His tears were the most beautiful moment of this finale. The audience understood at last the great champion he is.
