The concept of humor is very stretchable.

There is humor of some funny situations-actions, which is often understandable to everyone, but everyone can perceive it differently, depending on personal sense of humor, the quality of humor itself, or personal upbringing. For example, any movie-action comedies. Many people, for example, are not amused, some American movie comedies, with some vulgar, sartirny humor. And the Americans themselves laugh at it. Another person would not do that, simply for reasons of not being a clown, or fear of public embarrassment. And even these movie comedies are translated differently into the native language for those who will watch them.

There's intellectual humor, or cultural-mental humor. It's less often understood by everyone. More often it is manifested and can be perceived by people who have a personal sense of humor, mentally and culturally close to each other, especially when they speak the same native language for both. A person who speaks a different native language, culture and mentality may simply not understand the specific humor of a foreigner. And this is a common phenomenon. For this reason, some people do not even try to humor with foreigners, especially when they have to tell a funny situation, or joke in a language that is not his native, especially when the joke or anecdote may not be understood for some reason. Although in reality, these people may be endowed with quite a good sense of humor.

Now if smartphones were taken away from people, it would be worse than a global epidemic. it could be called a "Suicidal Epidemic". Especially among the younger generation.

It really is like a disease already, and the addiction of many people is so strong that if they don't use their gadgets for a while, they go into mental withdrawal. Most young people's lives are really shifting from real to virtual. The general cyberization and virtualization of all life processes contributes to this.
You are right when you say that family gives you the full feeling of feeling like a human being and not a robot with a completely virtual life.
Only, I think that all this fits into someone's systemic philosophy of global manipulation of people's consciousness.
