For sure, it's a shame what happened in the past. I am glad we moved beyond the simple-minded European mentality and superiority complex that started this. Too bad it was impossible to live in peace. It's truly a shame the NATIVE AMERICANS were treated in such a way.

Of course, the Holiday is now about spending time with family (for those who have someone to spend it with ) and being Thankful for what we have. We do not focus on the negative, or use it as a reason to be ugly. We all know the mistakes of our past civilizations.
