is there a list of tapes or videos that were lost, either because tape got corrupted, or was lost or any other reason

actually an interesting topic....
with things moving so quickly plenty off stuff can go wrong:
maybe the format you recorded on goes out of fashion and no hardware to play the stuff like with VHS cassettes
recording medias degrading faster than expected
if you have digital data in the cloud, maybe your service provider goes out of business and your data go to hell
some simple issue with backups, means they are not usable for some stupid reason....
