Fortunately, I was listening to National Public Radio this morning and it told a summary of the story. The CEO of an oil company was in Moscow, trying to negotiate more co-operation among the energy companies. His corporate jet took off at night at the Moscow airport, and a drunken snowplow operator drove onto the runway and they collided. The CEO died.
It does have potential for a conspiracy story.
Little help to understand:
The CEO of Total (Oil) (biggest french company, #11 worldwide) just died in a stupid accident.
The CEO of Areva (Nuclear) is getting heavily sick so he had to stop working.
The CEO of EDF (Energy-Nuclear) has just been kicked off.
3 of 4 biggest french energy companies have changed their CEO in the last days.
Wow. That is amazing. And terribly sad news. Yes, if it were in America, there would be conspiracy theories, all over the place. And the stock market would take a serious nose-dive. (With the global economy, it may anyway.) They would find a way to blame the Republicans.

George, America does not have the monopole of Conspiracy Theorie. For example a lot of French people think that behind the fiasco with the Galileo (the European GPS) rocket there is the CIA.

I never heard about the project, so I Googled it. Sounds like a great concept, when it is up and running.
As to a conspiracy.......well, many years ago, before the internet, a lot of Middle Eastern money was spent to launch a telecommunications satellite, with an American launch vehicle. It would allow radio and TV stations to broadcast all over the Middle East. America was afraid that political factions would spread propaganda and start a Jihad. We were relieved when it went into the wrong orbit and was useless. Conspiracy? No one knows. The internet takes its place now.
Would the CIA sabotage the satellites of Europe? Never happen. Right. Then we find out that America has been spying on European leaders' phone conversations. I feel embarrassed by what my country has been doing with our "friends". I can understand how conspiracy theories can happen. I did not vote for him either time.
On the more humorous side, if it happened in England, I am sure "M" would give 007 his new assignment.
