Sorry caratustra, I disagree. If I come to this thread is to watch pictures of cute girls who might be persuaded by Pierre in the near future to get into porn and not to read some rants of someone who I do not know nor I care. If Atiz cannot behave himself and stay focussed on the topic he should be banned like it is common in most forums.

Besides, there are already other threads discussing the mentality of eastern europeans, the escort industry, the porn business, etc so there is no need to pollute this thread with that kind of discussion.

I am answering in a civilized manner, Atisz. But remember what this thread is about, it is about the next girls, not about what we think or not think of the porn industry. Atisz, I have been reading your comments for a while and here are my 2 cents about the girls who perform in porn.

Most of them are from eastern Europe but that does not mean they are poor. Here are the per capita incomes of the top sources of porn performers:

Czech Republic $19,000
Slovakia $16,000
Hungary 13,000.
Russia $10,500
Romania $7,500
Ukraine $3000

Now Hungary, Slovakia and Czech may seem poor compared to Western Europe but they are better off than most of Asia and Africa. Only Ukraine has a really low per capita income (again by European standards).

So the issue is not poverty, but culture. Again, I am not insulting any country. But the main reason that so many girls from these countries enter porn :

Shooting porn is legal, except in Ukraine, wherein the girls go to Russia, Budapest or Prague.

It does not carry a big stigma. Certainly not the way it would be most of Asia. Now this is a good thing. I would not like to see a girl being beaten up, killed or socially boycotted, fired from job etc just because she does or did porn.

Most jobs everywhere suck. There is not much scope to get a high paid job if you are not an engineer, doctor, lawyer or some other science, technical graduate. So these girls who want a North American/West European standard of life see no other way. Again this only refers to the girls who do porn and not the entire country.

But I do believe that at 18-19 they are naive and underestimate the difficulties that they will face later on in life because of their porn past.

I must say I (almost) completely agree with you.
I found other values for GDP (nominal) per capita (probably used other source) of the aforementioned countries (CZ: 21 k, SK: 17.6 k, HU: 15.5 k, RU: 11.8 k, RO: 9.3 k, UA: 3.9 k) but basically the proportions are nearly the same.

Exactly that's why Budapest and Prague are the the so called capitals of porn. People come here from all over the world. The girls are cheap and beautiful.
Asia and Africa doesn't count because of many reasons: First is (don't care about PC) the girls aren't as beatiful. I know it might sound offensive, but that's just how it is. The second is legal issues, you can't just shoot porn anywhere. Third is the development of infrastructure. Fourth is public safety. Fifth is hygiene and health reasons.

The main reason is still poverty, that's why everyone chooses Eastern Europe. Of course it has moral reasons (like how a country was affected by for example communism, atheism, etc. - that's why Poland is not a favourite, even though the girls there are also very beautiful). Exactly. That's why there's no reason to set up false illusions for girls that through porn you can achieve this lifestyle - this is what I'm against. Sure there are some girls, who can and will be successful (good luck to them btw), but for most it becomes a serious problem later on (getting a normal job, having a child, etc.).
The other problem is that they get used to this lifestyle: sure they earn a lot of money (not mainly with porn, but with "escorting" which comes with porn mostly) but they also spend a lot of money, to all the luxury that surrounds them, accessories, travelling and so on. But they can't do this forever, they burn out physically and mentally as well later on. By that time they won't go back to finish their education or get a normal job for a seemingly laughable salary. The only opportunity they have at this point is to marry a rich man whose attention they successfully managed to draw.
And only a small proportion of girls can do this (and now that porn industry - but not "escorting" - is going down, their chances are getting lower as well).

Again a very good point. They have to be shown the (significantly larger) dark side of porn and not just the bright side: how they will be stigmatized after they set foot in the world of porn by the majority of the society. Of course one could say: "the problem is with the society, they should be more liberal" which is ok I guess, but you can't wait for the majority to change their point of view, when it is you who should change.
