Gerard was the movie director of Deep Throat which was made in 1972. it starred Linda Lovelace and Harry Rheems. In 1973, he made "The Devil in Miss Jones". In 1973, "Devil" made the top 10 grossing list of all movies that year, coming in just behind the James Bond movie. Also that year, Deep Throat was #11 on the list in its second year in the theaters. It was considered the Golden Age of Porn in those years.
Unfortunately, Gerard did not make much money from the film. He died at age 80.
