Im a long time fan (like everyone else) with a question about adult movies. There seems to be a stark contrast between mainstream movies i.e big budgets, people who can act, special effects, good stories with those of the adult world.

If you look at the sort of money the big Hollywood movies make have you ever thought of investing large amounts of money in a production to get bigger returns?

Pierre, frankly I was a bit suprised mentioned by the cost of production numbers you mentioned above (2000-3000 EUR to produce a porn scene). I guess the biggest cost is payments for female and male models (I assume that females get far more than males). However, there also must be some overhead costs. A crude back of an envelope calculation suggest (at lest for me) a surprisingly low payments for female porn models (below 1500 EUR?).

I understand that because of pirating it must be very difficult to earn a decent profit in the pornindustry. Is this development putting downward pressure on renumeration for models? Is it not getting difficult to attract female models to the business. With model payments at these levels, I can understand why escorting might start to look more attractive for some models. As far as I can see they can earn nearly as much one escort booking and then even have the benefit of privacy and some would even say safe sex?
