They would have given you the trophy for free if you had just shown up, or did they expect you to pay for a table at the award show, or an exhibiton booth at the convention?
I guess that's how it works most of the time. Buy advertisement in a magazine, floor space at the trade show or seating at the gala...

The link story was the proof from begining they didn't want me to win !!! From that all was clear ... but the fact they give it to someone who get 3 times less votes, this is the cherry on the cake !!!

Hi Pierre, I´m the organizer of these awards, and I´d like to tell something about your opinions.

Of course, you are free to believe what you want. For some reason you believed since the first minute we had something against you, and that´s absolutely false. The link worked correct in every moment, I checked it by myself and it was right.

It takes some seconds to redirect to the category, and I guess you didn´t wait more than 1 second. But I can guarantee the link was right.

I don´t know why you think we didn´t want you to win. You couldn´t win since the moment you decided not to come to the ceremony, so, it was your choice, not us. We just count the votes of a professional jury, and you should know that because last year I invited you to take part on it. You refused.

So, I hope you understand that we have no preferences about the winners. If you prefer not to believe me, ok, but you have no reasons to think we have bad feelings about you.

If next year you´re a nominee again and you reach the final, It will be a pleasure for me to invite you again. Then, you can decide between two options: Come and win or lose, or not come, lose, and say we didn´t want you were the winner.

But that will be just your opinion, not the true.
