I, for one, would certainly love very much for this conflict to finally end. 3 years listening to this crap. But only the truce is viable option. So that all destruction would end, and all displaced Russians and Ukrainians would return to their homes.
One negative aspect of all that, is where I live (Serbia), thanks to high number of people who moved here Russians/Ukrainians, it's very hard to find a place to live and flat prices went through the roof. Plus, a number of Russian porn stars labeled as Serbian... A distinction has to be made

Russians go to Serbia, not because they are living so “badly” in Russia!
1). Serbia is the only European country, candidate for membership in the European Union, that has not imposed sanctions against Russia.
2). In 2022, Serbia continued air service with Russia.
3). Serbia maintained visa-free entry for Russian citizens for up to one month. To move, it is enough to buy air tickets and insurance on the basis of a foreign passport.
4). It is easy to get a residence permit in Serbia. For example, you can open a local company. The service for obtaining a current account and business support costs from 150 euros per year.

And I will personally add more from myself:
1). Many people in Serbia respect citizens from Russia. The local population remembers that Russia was the only country that tried to help Serbia in any way during the destruction of Yugoslavia by NATO and was on the side of Serbia. And in 2015 Russia was the only country that vetoed the UN draft resolution on recognizing Serbia guilty of illegal actions during the collapse of Yugoslavia.
2). My son has an acquaintance who works as CEO of one of the cybersports teams from Russia, which had to change their location and move to Serbia for more convenient logistics and participation in international competitions.
3). I don't know about Ukrainians, but Russians don't ask you for money, but instead spend it from you.
4). The Russian leadership has always treated Serbia in a special way, for example, it gave huge discounts on gas from Russia.

Therefore, it is not very tactful of you to “whine” here about it, and to reproach the Russians!!!

2). One faith - Orthodox Christianity.
3). In Serbian writing, “Cyrillic” is of great use.
4). Historically, the Russian Empire has always protected South Slavic peoples, and not only South Slavic peoples, from the Ottomans. Many Serbs took refuge in the Russian Empire from the Ottomans.
Therefore, it is logical that these peoples, and consequently the states, should be close, although many people are trying to sow discord everywhere in the world....
