This system was devised by the US' founding fathers to prevent one populous state to prevail every time in an election. True federalism and all that jazz. Might be archaic, but sometimes it's worked to stop the country from becoming one giant California-New York liberal mass in an election. Like in 2016. I don't believe in democracy anymore, so I don't mind one form of it over another...

The real problem is still pretending fraud can't happen. Well no doubt trump did many mistakes as president but for me who was an Obama fan at the begining ( as I was also happy to have Macron but changed my mind after few months ) I think if we look just the fact and not who is what :
