All awards ceremonies in porn industry are fakes !!! The sponsors of every event decide who will earn what with the awards boss !!!
Trust me I have a bit of experience about this ... basically they try make a maximum of people happy and give a price to many people but of course you can predict easily who will won what in function of the company he / she works with !!!
I have faced a bad situation in 2008 january when after I spend 24 X 5000 $ in AVN magazine ( 2006 and 2007 ) and a big table at insane price for the Awards show, Paul Fishbein ( ex AVN owner ) promised me a price. But Franck Vardon ( RIP ) bought the right of 12 films and requested in exchange they gave me NOTHING and they sadly they did.
Larry Flynt in 2002 asked me which price I prefer get in Venus Berlin and was furious for the price he had to pay.
I won 10 awards in 1997 in Lido in Paris at Hot d'Or but Private was the main sponsor at this time of Hot Video and Dorcel second. I won almost all for "The Pyramid" and Tania Russof was supposed as main actress of the film to have best actress but a famous singer told her in front of Laure Sinclair ( Dorcel girl ) she was the winner. Laure started to cry, went in tears to Marc Dorcel who went to Franck Vardon making huge scandal middle of the Lido and finaly they gave the price to laure St Clair !!!
I have 100 stories about awards ceremony. In 1993 when I came on stage in Las Vegas to pick the best foreign release for "Private Video magazine 2", it was my first time and I was very impress, but time by time I learned to stay cool about it.
In 2007 after many awards in career and being obliged to pay 177 euros to get mine from AVN for "Sex City" by Federal Express, I already did not care anymore.
In January 2008 I wanted go on stage because all the people having gave me the money to build " Woodman Entertainment" was there and I wanted thanks them on stage. Paul Fishbein lied to me and after that day I NEVER went back to any AVN or Xbiz ceremony reason why I have never been nominated anymore. The owner of Xbiz Alec A... is a good friend and a nice person. But I refused be there in USA and also at the first edition and after in Berlin or Amsterdam.
It's like if I do not exist for all of them ON MY DEMAND because I feel ashame to be part of this fake game.
30 to 20 years ago my heart was beaten when I was in the room expecting a price but once I have understood all this mascarade I thought it was better stay away.
Look at my life, does it has changed anything not go anymore to those show and been a best "something" ???
NOTHING about my image and YES about my bank account because I saved many thousand of euros / dollars every year !!!
The trip + hotel + booth in 2007 in Vegas was 120 000 $ and my latest Venus in 2013 cost me 64 000 euros.
I better use this money for something else ...
