I am too old to be blind by love and I have eyes, ears, feelings very normal I think. I hate dictatorial place reason why for instance I refused in past to live in Los Angeles when Larry Flynt proposed give me possibility to stay in a great house on the beach near Malibu ( not far from John Stagliano house ).
I love USA for holidays but could not live in a country with so rude law and people. And now it became same in France unfortunately. My flat is front of the Eiffel tower, you have seen it in many videos and it has been a heart breaker for me to decide rent it to someone and definitely go to Hungary. I have though about it for 5 years long but so many dangers in Paris street, so many lack of freedom and price growing up so much for everything.
I don't know anymore what is the feeling to be surronded by bad people in the street when I am with my wife or daughter, I don't care where I park my car, nobody never put a key crash on any of them in the last 32 years, not even bang it when parking. I can drive fast at a speed on freeway and in town that is not possible anymore anywhere ( only germany for freeway ). The food is delicious and so much cheap compare to France. etc etc etc ... I can continue with 100 things more.

But if Van der Layen keep the 13 milliard she is supposed give to Hungary, I am pretty sure he will send out the MILLION of Ukrainian he helps inside the country and also OPEN the wall blocking few million migrant coming from Turkey in future. Because many idiots forget how much the Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia are protecting the access to France Germany etc ... but if one of them decide let people pass and just control they don't stay in Hungary for instance, then your lives will become even worse than they are. You talk with your heart, i can sense that you put all your true deep feeling inside your post, and i respect you for that, you are "direct", and you have chose to live in a country where you feel more happy than your origin country, this is also respectful because you have expérienced both life in each country and i'm sure your décision must be the best, for you, and honestly, sometimes you put so much passion in your post about hungary, that you make me feel to test it and live it 3 months , to expérience it, because i give you the crédit, that it's true sometimes there's is a feeling of "Steel cage" in France, like a pressure when you walk outside, you feel it's totaly différent than in Morroco for exemple, and yes , France cost very much for living . Les premières semaines/mois, ont-ils été "facile" , au niveau de l'adaptation, pour toi, dans ton installation en Hongrie ? Même si tu connaissais sans doute déjà le pays très bien, que tu étais avec Sophie, je veux dire, t'as pas eu un petit "coup de blues" au tout début ? (Manque de famille resté en France, culture différente, repères différents, ect). Ou bien au contraire, aucune mélancolie/nostalgie, à aucun moment ?

Franchement en dehors de ma vue sur la Tour Eiffel je ne regrette RIEN de la France !!!

La Hongrie n'est pas parfaite mais Orban, lui au moins, a le sens des valeurs que Bruxelles à mis dans une poubelle. Je suis toujours surpris de voir à quel point les gosses dans les écoles de mes enfants sont en sécurité, jamais agréssés, et que les professeurs sont capables d'enseigner sans se demander lequel de ses éléves va lui planter un couteau dans le ventre comme en France.

On parle beaucoup aujourd'hui des relations tumultueuses entre la Hongrie et l'Ukraine, il vaut donc la peine d'aller jusqu'au bout, c'est-à-dire de revenir au début. La Hongrie est le pays qui a reconnu l'Ukraine comme État indépendant le 3 décembre 1991, le troisième pays après la Pologne et le Canada.

Si nous nous basons sur ce simple fait, nous pouvons immédiatement comprendre la profonde déception de la diplomatie hongroise causée par la campagne hystérique de Kiev contre la Hongrie. Si l'on ajoute à cela le fait que notre pays a été le premier pays à établir des relations diplomatiques avec l'Ukraine, c'est-à-dire que des ambassades ont été ouvertes dans les capitales des deux pays, la déception est évidemment encore plus grande. En outre, les deux pays ont signé un traité de bon voisinage et de coopération.

Tout a donc très bien commencé, au point que les équipes de football des deux pays ont disputé un match amical à Munkács - où la statue de Turul a récemment été barbarement retirée du château un jour. Pour les Ukrainiens, le match était très important, car il s'agissait du premier duel indépendant du onze national. L'affrontement s'est terminé par un match nul et vierge. J'étais au stade Munkács, on a vraiment vu un vrai match amical. Les deux camps ont encouragé leurs propres équipes, n'ont pas compromis l'autre, il n'y a pas eu d'acclamations extrêmes, les ultras sont également restés à l'écart du stade. À la fin du match, un petit nombre de policiers ont poliment dirigé les voitures des supporters visiteurs vers la frontière hongroise, tandis que les hôtes vaquaient silencieusement à leurs occupations.

A cette époque, il semblait qu'il n'y aurait pas de problèmes de relations ici, nous avons trouvé un bon voisin. Cependant, nous devons maintenant nous demander : pourquoi les relations entre les deux pays se sont-elles autant détériorées ? La révolution orange de 2004, qui visait à démocratiser et supprimer la nomenclature soviétique, a également provoqué un retour inattendu encore peu connu. Profitant de l'atmosphère révolutionnaire, les anciens fascistes ukrainiens et leurs descendants qui ont soutenu l'armée allemande nazie pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale sont rentrés chez eux, principalement du Canada et d'Australie. À l'époque, personne n'y prêtait beaucoup d'attention, mais les choses ont commencé à changer, quoique lentement, dans la mauvaise direction.

Après le changement de gouvernement en 2010, la Hongrie a soutenu l'intégration européenne de l'Ukraine dans toutes les enceintes, en se concentrant sur trois domaines importants : l'exemption de visa, la conclusion d'un accord de libre-échange et un accord d'association avec l'UE. C'était un bon signe que les Ukrainiens ont pu stabiliser les conditions sociales et ont même retiré les mesures préjudiciables aux Hongrois en Transcarpatie.

Cependant, les temps ont changé, la politique intérieure ukrainienne devient de plus en plus agitée. Le président ukrainien Viktor Ianoukovitch a commencé à tirer vers Moscou, ce qui a provoqué de fortes tensions à Kiev. Avec l'aide discrète des Américains, les nazis ukrainiens de la Seconde Guerre mondiale susmentionnés ont émergé, se mêlant aux néo-nazis. Ianoukovitch a été chassé du pouvoir par un coup d'État.

Il s'agit d'un élément clé car l'extrême droite tient depuis en otage le gouvernement au pouvoir à Kiev. Depuis la folie de 2014, les néonazis ont menacé quiconque ne partageait pas leurs opinions et ils ont réussi à subjuguer toute la politique ukrainienne. Stepan Bandera, le fondateur de l'armée insurrectionnelle ukrainienne, qui a volontairement servi l'occupant allemand et dont les monuments sont aujourd'hui érigés sur les places publiques, est responsable du massacre de centaines de milliers de personnes.

Nous n'avons pas eu à attendre longtemps pour les effets, car déjà en 2017 une nouvelle loi ukrainienne sur l'éducation était prête, qui visait clairement à « chasser » la langue hongroise de la Transcarpatie. Lorsque le président ukrainien Zelensky est arrivé au pouvoir, il a promis de changer cela, mais la nouvelle législation désavantagera encore plus les Hongrois. En réponse au sentiment anti-hongrois, le ministre des Affaires étrangères et du Commerce Péter Szijjártó a déclaré en 2017 : L'Ukraine a poignardé la Hongrie dans le dos.

In addition, both countries signed a treaty on good neighborliness and cooperation.

So it all started very well, to the point that the football teams of both countries played a friendly match in Munkács - where the statue of Turul was recently barbarically removed from the castle one day. For the Ukrainians, the match was very important, because it was the first independent duel of the national eleven. The clash ended in a goalless draw. I was at the Munkács stadium, we really saw a real friendly match. Both camps encouraged their own teams, did not compromise the other, there were no extreme cheers, the ultras also stayed away from the stadium. At the end of the match, the modest number of police officers politely directed the cars of the visiting fans towards the Hungarian border, while the hosts silently went about their business.

At that time, it seemed that there would be no problems with relations here, we found a good neighbor. However, we must now ask ourselves: why have relations between the two countries deteriorated so much? The 2004 Orange Revolution, which aimed to democratize and remove the Soviet nomenclature, also brought about an unexpected return that is still little known. Taking advantage of the revolutionary atmosphere, old Ukrainian fascists and their descendants who supported the Nazi German army during World War II returned home, mainly from Canada and Australia. At the time, no one paid much attention to it, but things began to change, albeit slowly, in the wrong direction.

After the change of government in 2010, Hungary supported Ukraine's European integration in all fora, focusing on three important areas: visa-free travel, the conclusion of a free trade agreement and an association agreement with the EU. This was a good sign that the Ukrainians were able to stabilize social conditions and even withdrew measures harmful to the Hungarians in Transcarpathia.

However, times have changed, Ukrainian domestic politics are becoming more and more hectic. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych began to pull towards Moscow, which caused strong tensions in Kiev. With quiet American help, the aforementioned WWII Ukrainian Nazis emerged, mingling with neo-Nazis. Yanukovych was removed from power in a coup d'état.

This is a key element as the far right has been holding Kiev's ruling government hostage ever since. Since the madness of 2014, neo-Nazis have threatened anyone who does not share their views, and they have managed to subjugate all Ukrainian politics. Stepan Bandera, the founder of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which willingly served the German occupiers and whose monuments are now erected in public squares, is responsible for the massacre of hundreds of thousands of people.

We did not have to wait long for the effects, as already in 2017 a new Ukrainian education law was ready, which was clearly aimed at "displacing" the Hungarian language from Transcarpathia.
