The war pisses me off big time.

I know a girl in Ukraine, with big problem to get a job, most cities are filled with people fleeing the fights.
From my point of view the best cause of action would be to go to Europe as a refugee and get some money and accommodation provided there. But she likes to stay in Ukraine, not for everybody to move to a different country. I try to keep her going with some cash, but there is in my view no timeline when things will get back to normal in Ukraine.

Really a new experience for me to know a person in a war zone, normally it would be just some news about fighting in one country or the other..

There is a thing I do not understand in this war.
Zelensky use internet and his phone and can go in various cities OUTSIDE with camera etc ... but we all know in 2022 the sattelits can read you car plate from thousands of kilometers.
Also many people I know are regularly going by car to Liuv even Kiev without any fear.

All this is a non sens for me and so far from any war situation. Which Yemenith politician was walking in the street during the war with Saoudians and we all know how the Hamas people are hiding in holes to not be the target of Israel etc ...
Putin said at the begining his intention was to kill the "UKR nazis" but also Zelensky and his near camarades ...

So why Zelensky is not scared been executed from the sky when he walks without any discretion with 20 TV channel + 50 journalist around him in Boutcha ???
Why 1,5 million Ukrainians people are back home ???

Maybe I am naive but things are not like "it should be" during a war !!!

Just my 2 cents;

in a war you have the front line between the parties involved with the actual fighting and away from this frontline things could be quite normal. So the war zone is likely just a small strip of land, that can move back and forth.

The west is providing goods even close to Mariupol, so transport should be mostly fairly easy in most of the country.

Regarding killing Zelensky, guess Putin thinks, there is not much point in doing so, would just create bad press and could cause issues with China or India which at moment stay a bit out of it.

Regarding Ukrainians coming back from Europe, I can understand that living in a foreighn country where you don't speak the language and living in crappy accommodation can get boring quickly. So maybe better to go back to the country you know and hope for the best.

I see no solution so far....
