pierre, at least you have great food in france. Unless all the best french chefs are here in new york. that's incredible that your little ones were exposed to your work so early on. I don't think france is going to be sexually liberal for much longer given that the most common baby name in Paris is "Mohammed" these days. but i don't want to get political here.

About my childrens don't worry I did not give them Private magazine instead of Disney mag !!!
But about my country, sadly what you said is the truth but nobody can tell what will be the future !

First do not fool us,
Mohammed tops list of English baby names
then it is because everybody gives him the same name.

Then if the french is more and more restrictive on freedom,
it is not the left behind people that decide to install camera everywhere and reduce democracy by obstructing the rule of law,wiretapping journalist etc etc....

Second you cannot associate religion and freedom,it is more the importance of religion in political life that may be associated with degree of freedom.

Then if you saw a rise in muslim activism in certain area of the country it is because people were left on their own and religion is one way to escape chaos and rule the world when people are left on their own.

Their is about 10% muslim in france and this number will steadily continue to grow because their are a good share of the youth.

Though the law in france may distort the birth repartition because incentives to get babies are badly managed.Wealthy people should get big tax cuts when they have lots of babies and the less wealthy incentives to get only one.
Actually through allocations it is quite the contrary,which fuels the number of lower
educated youths and breeds poverty then religion and security agenda.

In my wiew,
people like woodman should get huge incentives to get at least 10 children because on the long term it is better when the amount available to educate each children in every family is more or less equal for everybody.

You cannot expect a society that widens inequalities to be freedom oriented.
Then,It is no mistery if northern europe countries are the best rated.
