RIP, c'etait un très grand acteur un des derniers du hollywood de l'époque, et ses films " spartacus " et " les sentiers de la gloire " etaient vriament superbes, meme quand il faisait des petits roles comme dans les contes de la crypte il était génial. D'un autre coté avoir réussi à aller jusqu'a 103 ans franchement chapeau. Il manquera, c'est une époque du cinéma qui se termine un peu avec lui...

I was 7 years old when my grand mother brought me in cinema to watch " There Was a Crooked Man " ( le reptile in French version ) and it was so great movie for me that I never forgot it and watched it various times later in my life.

What a legend! One of the greatest actors that ever lived and 103 years wow! I recently watched him, just before he died, in amazing anti-war film Paths of Glory. And I would always remember his words:"I make my own way. I respect others opinion, but I keep to mine. Nobody's my boss, nobody's ever been my boss."
