Like many others on the forum, Nika, I too am pleased to hear your refreshing & 'level headed' views on some of the topics discussed here. This is what I meant in one of my earlier e-mails about Russian girls having very open-minded attitudes towards sex & porn etc compared to girls from other countries.
It is interesting to note that the 2 most regular female contributors to the forum - Nika & Kamilla - are both Russian!!

Yes I also noticed that , and it make me think about those bad people who said the Russian are stupid etc... one details since 15 years has always catch my mind, when I have one Russian, one Czech, one Hungarian arriving in Paris, what is the first thing they ask to me ?

Hungarian : Where is the Mc Donald the nearest of my hotel ?
Czech : Where is the best shopping place ?
Russian : Where is The Louvres ?

Tania Russof arrived in France February 19. 1995 for the first time of her life, 18 y.o, doesn't speak one word of french or english. But she knew more about Paris historical than me. She teached me a lot about my living city, who did what etc.. and at the end of 1995 she was speaking english and in 1996 french !!! Far to be stupid the Russian ...

Ha,haaaaaaaaa! That's funny, Pierre! LIke our jokes about the Englishman, the Irishman & the Scotsman. But, unfortunately (or fortunately!) yours is true!

But I agree with you totally. Russians have so many things which we have lost. Discipline about their eduction & behaviour (except for the mafia, of course!), respect for their elders (I see young people giving their seats to old people on the bus & metro - you rarely see this in England), clean streets & metro trains (I was shocked how filthy the underground trains are in London after visiting Russia) etc etc.
I just hope that the next generation does not lose these qualities. Maybe they are picking up the wrong things from the West eg McDonalds, shopping malls,TV 'soaps', Big Brother etc. That's why I say 'Thank you' to Lenin! He didn't get it ALL wrong!!

And as for Tania - she was my first 'heroine' after I discovered Private. I used to call you the luckiest bastard on the planet!! AND she introduced you to Ines & Inga, didn't she? Another 2 of my favourites!
