Movie: Hot Girls Wanted

Post by Curious George »

There is a new documentary movie coming out May 29, in the U.S.A. on Netflix. It is about the amateur porn industry in Florida. It is about girls from all walks of life, deciding to make a video while they have sex, then upload it to the internet. The documentary describes how easy it is. In an interview, the producer talks about how changing morals and values today, make it OK for any girl to make porn and put it on the internet.
I will update this after I see it. :D

Documentaire Hotgirls Wanted

Post by lagaffe »

Hi Pierre,

I'm curious. Did you see the Netflix documentary Hotgirls Wanted, that depicts the journey of five amateur girls through USA's porn system?

I curious to see what you think. I believe the documentary is a bit "victimist", because it shows only the point of view of girls who are disappointed by the biz and choose to eventually leave. However, there is one scene in particular that troubled me, the one with Ava Taylor, who is obviously not happy (to say the least) of filming with her male counterpart... It seems to me that she should not have accepted if she didn't want, but what's going on behind this??? Also, those girls have lots of teenage attitude, which may contribute to the situation.

I'm troubled because, as a photographer, I've done a few shoots that you could qualify as porn and I can assure you that my models were mostly having quite a lot of fun! But it may be just me as I'm rather sociable and like to laugh. I think it makes better images when the girls are having a good time....

Am I kidding myself thinking that generally porn is mostly fun for its protagonists? Do you believe this documentary is biased? Is the unhappy girl the rule or the exception? What is your experience different on the European side?

Media love present porn girls as victims or prostitutes. I just did an interview last week for a Russian channel about Ally Breeze and what ever I said they wanted push me to tell she was a whore which is nit the truth, she is a good girl !!!
Always the same shit everywhere ...

Those girls were paying a lot of money to stay at that house and that house was a shithole.

And what about the atmosphere during photoshoot? There is still a lot of noise about Ava Taylor's / Rachel Bernard's face and attitude during that shoot where she clearly does not want to be there...
