I stumbled on a piece of trivia. :o
The very first porn film, that was made in France, was titled "Exhibition". It was made in 1975. It was supposedly a documentary, and was composed of clips from other porn movies. (The other clips being made in other countries.) I believe that the person who printed this review, was referring to legal porn movies. Underground porn movies were made in France before the 20th century began, shortly after the first ever movies were made, which was in France.

While I am on the subject..........The very first motion picture was made in France, by the Lumiere Brothers, and the subject was the arrival of a train. It was made in 1896. The oldest surviving porn movie was made in 1906 in Austria. In those days, porn films were shown in brothels, and the actresses were prostitutes. Here are a few frames from some of the movies made in 1906 - 1907.

The picture at the top is about a movie of a Harem. The picture at the bottom is from a movie titled "Slave Market". Movie plots haven't changed much in 108 years. :D :D
