It is being reported on the news in Uk that Robin was in the early stages of Pakinsons disease at the time of his death. What a great Actor and he will be deerly missed RIP Robin.

Sometimes comedy and tragedy are intertwined. In 1993 the movie "Mrs. Doubtfire" was released. It was about a bitter divorce, and the father was not allowed to see his kids, so he dressed up as a woman and hired on as the housekeeper.
There was a boy with inoperable brain cancer that loved the movie so much that he made a request to "The Make a Wish Foundation" to visit with Robin Williams. But he was too sick to travel to California. So Robin got on a private plane and flew to the East Coast to spend the afternoon with him, playing games and watching football. Robin's generosity with the boy was never made public until now. The boy died 2 months later.
And then there was Michael and Koko. These gorillas learned American sign language. They never mated, but considered themselves as brother and sister. Michael could sign the horrific story of seeing his mother murdered by poachers, and then being kidnapped and carried away in a small cage. Michael died in 2000, and Koko was saddened ever since. Koko knew about 1000 words that she could sign, and understood over 2000 English words. In 2001, Robin went to the Northern California zoo to do a PSA (Public Service Announcement) for the protection of gorillas. When he met Koko, they immediately became friends. At one point, Koko signed "tickle me" and turned around to be tickled. After that she was not sad anymore about the loss of Michael. She never forgot her new friend Robin. But this week she overheard a zookeeper talking about the news about Robin, and asked what happened in sign language. So they had to tell her. She signed "woman sad" And her lower lip quivered as she made crying sounds.

I'm fascinated by gorilla, they are very special animals. Almost 10 years ago, I went with Sophie to the Budapest zoo where they have some huge group separed from public only by glasses. And when I was there, far away I saw a very huge one and suddently he turned his head like if he has felt I was looking at him, and suddently jumped very fast coming straight to me and put his face with his eyes at less than 5 cm from mine. This moment will stay for ever in my mind, it was very strange and very scary in a way but of course I can't know if it was a good or bad attitude. What will have been the same situation without the glasses, a deadly hug or a cool one ???
Better I don't try I guess, but anyway it was a very special situation ...

I m still very touched by Robin Williams death, I dont remember being that much saddened by a personality disparition before. He was one of a kind, and an impro genius. I dont think its possible to find anyone who worked with him telling bad things about him. No matter what role he was playing, you can tell he was playing it with open heart and all he had. I loved that man

He was one of the biggest artists and one of the very few who was able to touch my heart.
