Pierre...try to drink several glasses of water every day for 2 weeks and then tell me you don't feel any different.

I drink minimum 2l by day. In tropical place even 5l some days with hard work ...
But it does not work like that. If you have a normal day with food etc ... what ever you will drink, your pee will be with a certain color from almost white till dark orange but if between the food time, you drink directly 2 or 3 liter until your pee become white ( and this is what explained Gina ) your pee is not pee anymore but water ...

This is true as and as someone that has studied nutrition I am able to voice an educated opinion on this. Drinking several litres of water in one go will in fact make the urine transparent however as it has been flushed through the body so rapidly it will also take with it essential minerals and electrolytes from the body and hence is not helpful in hydration. Therefore drinking approximately 250ml per 10kg of body weight per day plus an additional 1L per hour of exercise (approx) is considered by most nutritionists to be ideal. However in the sense in which this is being discussed, drinking several litres of water straight before a scene would have the desired result of clear, non foul smelling urine as essentially all it is is water, electrolytes and minerals not other 'waste' product.

Also in terms of colour, this is a very general guide as obviously if urine is dark in colour on a regular basis, this is usually a sign of problems with the kidneys however we all have the odd 'surprise' ie the day I saw purple and started hyperventilating with panic then remembered that I'd made roasted beetroots for lunch

If you was drinking a liter of fresh orange juice every day like me + so many other juices ( berries ) I don't think you can have a transparent urine !!!

A litre of orange juice? Holy moley!!! hahahah i imagine all the berries would have a similar effect to my betroots experience!
