There are a lot of Americans that modify old cars to make "hot rods". A friend of mine told me of a guy in Ohio who put a Corvette engine into a motor bike. Instead of 122 horsepower he had 425 horsepower. One day, on an early Sunday morning, he took it out onto the interstate. The speed limit was 55 mph (88 kmh). Within 4 seconds he was going 100 mph (160 kmh). And he was still in 1st gear!.
Instead of trying out 2nd gear he throttled back. He knew that if he hit a stone on the interstate, or a car pulled in front of him, he would be dead. Think about heavy braking at that speed.

Not advocating this, but most European bikers would laugh at your incredulity about 100mph.

Hitting a stone would do nothing unless it was getting on for half brick size too & something like that would likely cause a car to crash too.

I guess I need to explain a little more. Because of the cold winters, the interstate roads in Ohio, get pot holes and loose stones in the passing lane. Also there are many bad drivers that don't look before changing lanes. Drivers on the Autobahn know better, and the road is better maintained. Another friend told me that when on vacation there. He drove 140 mph in a rented BMW and scared his wife into silence. Also this bike with the Corvette engine was very unstable with the large heavy engine. The bike shown in this video has a light weight (powerful) engine that is the right balance for this bike.

That RS6 is capable of speeds aroung 340 kmh or around 210 mph, if modded or tuned by mtm or abt e.g.

Back in 2001 i had the RS4, tuned by mtm. Top speed on the Speedometer was 310 kmh with limiter. at that time it was easy to pass all bigbikes at speeds exceeding 240 kmh. they had no chance to follow.

Yes, the RS6 is very impressive.
