As for Polish girls speaking Hungarian - very unlikely. It's a very different and difficult (for Polish people) language.

You say Romanian girls speak Hungarian - you should have said girls FROM Romania. Ever heard about Treaty of Trianon? The Hungary has lost about 3/4 of its territory and about 1/3 of ethnic Hungarians. There was and still is a HUGE Hungarian minority in Romania (same story with Slovakia, Serbia and other neighbours).

Ukrainian girls speaking Slovakian/Hungarian - same story. Eastern Ukraine was before the WWII a part of Poland, Czechoslovakia or Hungary (there was a Polish-Hungarian border). All those countires are ethnically diversified.

Not so in Poland. For many reasons Poland is ethnically unified. There are much more Polish people in neighboring countries than minorities in Poland. So there is no need to learn alnguage to speak with other people living in Poland - they are mostly Polish. So Swiss girl speaking French and German is another story - Switzerland is trilingual (even fourlingual if you include Romansh).

About one adult Polish person in three understand English, one in four Russian, one in five German. French, Italian, Spanish - each about one in hundred. All other languages - about one in hundred.

So an average Polish girl may speak English, may speak German, may speak Russian. Less likely she would speak French, Spanish or Italian. She will understand Czech and Slovakian, because Polish, Czech and Slovakian languages are quite similar. But Hungarian - not bloody likely. It's possible, of course, but unlikely.
