I can't remember the source, but I remember finding a site with what is supposed to be scientific statistic on penis sizes across the world. There were like a few african countries that had larger averages than most others, but the rest was actually below the global average. I think the myth itself plays a big role in making us biased. Pierre might have seen a lot of big black dicks, but did he ever do the math to check if he actually saw as many white dicks and just noticed the black ones more frequently? Probably not.

Generally you need a really big sample size to say anything definite about matters like that and the problem is that most research is based on mens own statement about their size, so even the "real" scientific stuff may be flawed.
