Nowadays is not necessary to be really ugly to be rejected.
That's because we are in a society and in an age of appearence.
Beauty is spread everywhere so it became very important.
Confidence is important too but not so much as beauty.
I know plenty of guys who are very confident an full of self esteem but they are rejected because of their look and at the same time I know handsome guys who are stupid, shy and creepy but can get a decent amount of girls without effort.
So what is more important?beauty or confidence?

Furthermore it's very difficult to be confident when you got a lot of negative feedbacks because of your look.But this is another issue of course.
