I visited Budapest some 10 to 15 years ago. Since you pass a lot of time there, in short, what has changed til now? Thanks.

This reminds me of 2 stories of a less serious nature.

During my college days I remember many coeds on a Friday night at my favorite bar uttering those famous words - "Buy me a beer." Of course we did, and after 2 beers the group of girls would excuse themselves and head for the restroom. In the crowded bar we could not see them leave the restroom and go to another bar and get more free beer. Some coeds went an entire school year and never had to buy a drink.
During my military years, I was stationed at a base in Denver Colorado. Denver has many beautiful single women and the colleges around Denver have even more. One guy, I knew would go to a bar on a Friday night and sit alone, nursing his beer with a sad face. The girls knew that he was military because of his haircut and good posture. When a girl asked him why he was so sad, he said "I can't tell you, its a secret." Now curious, she sat with him and they talked. In a little while he told her the secret. On Monday he was going to be flown over to China and poison their rice crop. It was a suicide mission and this was his last weekend to live. This happened at the height of the Cold War, and people would believe anything. So the girl took him back to her apartment and made sure he had a memorable weekend. The next Friday he hit another bar. One day, one of his previous victims tried a different bar and caught him playing his game. She told all of her friends and his scam was over.

That story comes to your mind because of DysfunctionalEDs comment?

For me, the beautiful location: on the one hand the castle hill and Gellert hill and on the other downtown connected with the Chain Bridge. I also liked the start of andrassy utca... I wish new cafes, restaurants, shops have opened there...

Both have a lot of beautiful women...a bit different in style. But as I said Pierre probably knows much better...

I've been to Prague and Budapest a lot but Prague was my favorite. I was hoping to run into Nella but that didn't happen! Lol
