I don't think that keeping that interval longer will make the pirates stop or make them some honest guys. If a son of a bitch can steal your content and publish freely on internet just one day after the update then he can do it again whenever the update is. Hum I don't totaly agree ! For the member it's always a good surprise but for the pirate it's a dick in their ass because even if they take it again during this time hundred of thousand of place have relayed the uncompleted version they have posted first !!!
I always have one version in advance and the fans prefer take it here than paid on a pirated place where they have no garantee about what they will get ...
This is a good thing and against this they can't fight because impossible to take off all the content dispatched worlwide by their fault ... and who become in that case just an advertisment for me and for free !!!
