Ah, you are only saying that because it is true. :D :D :D

One of our Prime Ministers famously said some 20 years ago that "Australia is at the arse-end of the world" meaning that we are far away from everywhere. :) But, as the world has turned with events over the past decade I am even more pleased that this is so. :D

Hello Jojam. I was speachless, while reading your post. It´s amazing, that somebody, who never met me, can write such a comprehensive thoughts... Thank you very much, I like very much reading your post. It was something....different. I was smiling of your suggestion to emigrate to Australia :D . If it was just about me - why not! I know, I could love that country, I heard and read so much about it and I also know some people from Slovakia, who decided to live and work there. So I won´t hesitate a minute if I had a chance to live in Australia. But now, I already have a family and it is no just about me anymore...And I know, that my husband couldn´t live so far away from his family (parents, siblings, friends)...he is so much dependent to them and they have so strong relations, that I know he won´t be happy anywhere else (without the possibility to be in touch with all other people he loves..)...But never say never and maybe one day... ;)
But at least for holiday - I hope one day I will have a chance to visit Australia and to spend there some time...
Which part of Australia are you from?

wow! what a proposal!! :D thank you, I will surely think about it ;)

But after this "great" info he wanted to speak to me - but I was not able to confess to all this stuff.... But because he already knew every detail of all my videos and scenes...it was really strange situation for me :) then I had to tell him the truth step by step :)
hmm this must be tough on u....then how u two became couple... actually when u first met ur husband..
I met him via internet... or to be more detailed - he addressed me on a chat :) I was new there, I didn´t know, how does it work and he was sending me one message after another... :)

Hello again, Rebecca.... or as we say down here, "G'day, Rebecca!" : ) Great to hear from you! I am delighted to see that you did get to read my post. I thought perhaps I may have missed the opportunity even though you have been answering various questions in this forum for a while now.

I don't know why you should think it is surprising that someone who has never met you could write about you in such

a way. I have met you...... you just weren't aware of it. : ) As I said, I observed and listened closely to you in the

interview part of Pierre's film and believe it told me many things about you right at that specific time in your life.

And there have also been some of your honest replies in answering questions in this forum which has added to my

high opinion of you.

Of course, there are many more aspects to you that I don't know. Things that make you laugh...or cry... music, tv and

films that you like or don't like (I did notice you have enjoyed Avatar, Inception and Redemption 3)..... foods that you like or don't like..... clothes, politics, books, hobbies, personal habits, and so on..... that you like or don't like. These are things that help round out who a person is........but in some ways they are superficial. It's when a person is put in a strange or stressful situation that really tests who they think they are.....and then how they respond under that pressure.....which shows the true traits of their real character. Your whole demeanor and responses that particular day is what I admired most. That is why I wanted to write to you; to let you know. I meant every word of what I said previously.

I was serious about emigrating to Australia, too...... : )) You and your husband and children could build a good life here.....as you mention with regard to Slovakians you know that are living and working here already. But, I also understand very well the strength of close family ties and ties to friends and other relations.... In big decisions like moving halfway across the world the couple both have to be certain and of one accord. So, as you say, maybe one day you will get to visit.... I am sure you will like it.... Well, almost sure.... : )) Pierre can tell you why he likes the place....... I just live here. : ))

The part of Australia I am from is about 100 kilometres north of Sydney. If you have Google Earth installed on your computer (or install it if you haven't - it's free) copy or type this in the search box:-

Noraville, New South Wales, Australia

This will show you the general area where I live. I am about five minutes walk from my nearest beach and about five minutes drive from the most distant one. You will see from the Google satellite what I mean..... : )) Wonderful to hear from you........

All good fortune to you and yours, my dear,
Jojam

***********************************************************
Pierre:

Brisbane would have been the place for you I think. Perth is a great city (and growing in leaps and bounds) but once you travel outside the outer boundaries of the city, there is just a lot of harsh scrub-brush and open space.......and not much else.... until you get up around Broome. (Though there is a certain beauty to this like no where else in the world) There are some some nice spots down in the South-West corner of the state but after your cosmopolitan life for most of your adult years, I think you might become bored with it after a while.

Plus you also get some extreme seasonal temperatures there. It is not uncommon during summer to have six or seven days straight with temperatures ranging in the 40-43 degree Celsius range. Only a couple of weeks back they had five days where the temp. ranged between 38 - 41 degrees Celsius. On these really hot days nothing moves...... no birds, insects...no flying, chirping or buzzing.... Everything goes still. It is just too bloody hot to do anything. The only thing moving are people at work....and in their buildings the air-conditioning is going at full-blast. People not at work often leave their homes before the middle of the day just to go and sit in the air-conditioned coolness of their local shopping mall. They don't do any shopping (well, not much).....just sit in the coolness. : )

On the other hand, if you are outside at nighttime in winter, and the winds blow up from Antarctica...... No snow, just the wind....you will know about it. You can be wearing two sets of thermal underwear, two pairs of socks, two pairs of tracksuits, two woollen jumpers, two pair of woollen gloves, a balaclava, woollen beanie and a thick sheepskin coat.......and your teeth will still chatter as though you are standing naked.

In contrast, Brisbane is a good little semi-tropical city. Good food, entertainment, transport, accommodation, etc.,..... At the moment though many suburbs are recovering from a recent major flood - as is much of the state of Queensland. The infrastructure damage to rail, road, crops, etc., has been enormous. It is going to take the state some time to get back on its feet. However, the upside to that means there are going to be plenty of jobs to be had helping to get things back on track. To the south of Brisbane you have the Gold Coast (beaches, accommodation, food, gambling, entertainment, tourism) and The Hinterland (all rain-forest) and to the north you have The Sunshine Coast...(good fishing, food, accommodation).

So, I think Brisbane would have suited you better, Pierre....... : )) But, I am just as sure that all your site members would have been extremely disappointed to have you pull the plug. : ) Still, at some time in the future, you can say to Sophie, "Well, we've seen The Great Wall of China......Now, let me take you to see..... nothing.... on the other side of the world..... but you will enjoy it!" : )

It has gone past my lunch time as I write this to Rebecca and you..... It's a beautiful sunny day and the temperature is around about 34 degrees..... but there is a pleasant sea-breeze coming in from the ocean taking the edge off it...... I am going to head off now to make a nice seafood salad, then sit on my shaded verandah to eat and enjoy it with an ice-cold beer with the sweet perfume from the full-bloom frangipani-trees in front gently wafting into my nostrils....
Ahhh.... Sometimes living can be so simple but have a touch of magic about it....... : )

Yes, you are right, KingofC...... :ugeek: Something went wrong when I pasted in my reply to Rebecca's post and a part of it has been split into pieces making it look even longer. Sometimes it is difficult to express what you are wanting to say in just a few lines......

Actually, I wrote to you KoC a few days ago at a Gmail address you had posted in response to a query in another forum about the middle of last year. It came back as undeliverable which I expected as you did mention it would only be an email address for a short while. However, I would still like to send it to you but don't expect you to put an address here. Is there some way we could do it?

Thank you for your welcome,
Jojam

P.S. My apologies if I have annoyed anybody with the long posts....

As a rule of thumb:
Print your posting to a DIN A4 Paper, if it´s longer than Pierre´s dick, it´s to much text for one posting.

Pierre posted a template for size-comparsion some months ago...

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
