I consider a 21Mpx camera the biggest you can use for web, in term of size.
I understand Hegre cause some of his pictures need a very good sensor, but that is too big in full size.

I don't know, personaly I love the Petter Hegre pictures style and quality. He is a master in his category and I respect a lot his work.
I love when you can see the definition at this level ( 39 MPX ) like on this picture from him : and by the way, Silvie de Lux is the star of his site at the moment !!! PW

Yes like I said I think HQ are important but when you are scanning the site you are more looking if the picture set is something that you would want to spend the time downloading.

I do think HQ pics also give the site a more "professional feel" for real collectors.

Anyway the futur will push about the level of the internet speed, but the camera are a bit blocked by the technology and now you can see Canon going back with some models because they prefer work on the quality of each pixel than push the numbers ( G10 at 14 MPX and new G11 at 10 MPX for instance ! )

It means more we will go in the futur, more theoriticaly the download should be easy !

About what ? The running behind numbers of pixels ? It seems all company are concentred on the ISO quality and level at the moment. And it's Nikon who takes the hand in this sector with possibility to shoot at 102 000 iso and see what even your eyes can't see !
