Re: LARA MALVO
Thanks Pierre for giving your POV. I appreciate that. I don’t always agree with you but that’s fine. I only brought it up now because I just watched the entire video for the first time that’s all.
Jean, sorry I don’t understand what you write half the time!
I didn’t say Pierre had no education, I said he did t have a university degree on the Politics thread.
Jean, you are acting like Pierre’s lapdog! He can have a discussion by himself and that’s what I like about this forum that Pierre lets people speak even though he disagrees. Now I like, generally, his castings (which is why it’s the only website of porn I subscribe to apart from some OnlyFans) and he seems a decent person but I disagree with him on many things: I’m a liberal and left wing, he’s conservative, some of his comments on people of colour and immigrants I find offensive but it doesn’t matter he is free to have his views and I can have mine. I’d still buy him a drink at a bar if I ever meet him. All of that doesn’t mean I can’t criticize if something appears to me to be not right. He can criticize me too as he likes. So can you!

No, you used the word "uneducated" before precised (no uni degree):

As if having an uni degree make you a better "smart-ass", same for what you said about QI of the Trump supporters, nobody trolled Biden's supporters, your sentance was disrespectful, assume it, i also have no problem with different opinion and critics, but the way/manner you write, sometime, is a bit offensive, that's all, my message is clear so i hope you understand me

Re: LARA MALVO
It's OK Jean, he said it right, I left school at 16 years old and I have only the most basic degree for France ( BEPC )
It doesn't make me an idiot but yes my son and daughter have much better level then me in school ...
Anyway at 13 years old I had already read the 656 pages of "Introductory Lectures on Psycho-Analysis" by Freud ( but not the other one
) and at 15 years old I could recite without mistaken more than a half of the poems from "The Flowers of Evil" by Charles Beaudelaire. I had read all Victor Hugo book and so many other famous writers. I was lucky to have two grand fathers very opposite, one has learned me many things about sex and the other had a a large library with hundreds of marvelous books. So yes geography, history, animals I loved it and still love it today a lot !!!
The other avantage to have children myself, is also a way to keep your brain working on what you learned in school !!
Anyway we are far away from Miss Malvo rantings and honestly I don't see any reason to keep this thread up considering the bad intentions this lady had when coming to me !!!

Re: LARA MALVO
I never really understood how French poetry could have any interest for a person speaking another language when the logic of the verses does not make any more sense once translated ... I admit having only very few read Rimbaud or his lover Verlaine, not finding in their writing that intense fire as Beaudelaire had. But poetry is like music, everyone can find there what he likes or hate with many variations !!!

Re: LARA MALVO
Its true poetry can not really be translated perfectly but well enough to understand but (1) French and English both have a lot in common (2) I studied some French and Latin at school (3) I love languages! Rimbaud was innovative! You know the famous sonnet of Verlaine and Rimbaud where they described the asshole?PIERRE WOODMAN wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 4:56 amI never really understood how French poetry could have any interest for a person speaking another language when the logic of the verses does not make any more sense once translated ...
Mon Rêve s’aboucha souvent à sa ventouse ;

Epic fail.
