I am new to this forum so bear w/ me. My opinion/perspective/etc expressed in this post is purely from knowing Lana from back when she was an exotic dancer here in Chicago at a relatively popular club (out of respect for Lana the name is withheld). I have viewed clips here and there of her adult movies, but nothing beyond that. Definitely a fan of her as an exotic dancer than an adult film star. In other words, I have the bare minimum info of her as a porn starlet.

What really prompted me to sign up for this forum and actually comment here at long last was the fact that for whatever reason, Lana skipped out on this past weekend's Exxxotica convention here in Chicago. No one knew right up until near closing time whether or not she was going to show on the last day Sunday (Sunday was the only day she was supposedly set to appear). No one knew anything besides one guy who was in supposedly contact with someone who supposedly was in contact with Lana and he remarked something along the lines of "Lana has trust issues, anxiety, etc when it comes to interacting with individuals at conventions blah blah blah". The other interesting thing was that most people (talent and support staff, convention employees etc) that my friends and I interacted with had a general apathy to any inquiry of whether or not Lana was going to show up. Has she burned so many proverbial "bridges" in this industry that no one takes her seriously anymore, or just as a whole they have moved on from her and the perceived drama associated with her? Does anyone on here have any serious insight into what is going on with her? A friend of mine attended this year's AVN's and convention and stated that Lana refused to acknowledge fans, take pictures with them, any sort of interaction with her was off limits. Outright ignored the fanbase who has supported her during her career etc. Anyone on here attend AVNs this year and experience the same? She made a claim she will never attend any AVNs in the future, any truth to this? Does anyone know if the person known as "LR" on The Luxury Companion is actually Lana? Its sad if she has actually resorted to offering adult companionship services. Rumors of this are abound online nearly everywhere you find mention of Lana.

The other thing I wonder about is how true are the claims of her "fight" with other actresses in the industry last year at some award ceremony? Everyone I have spoken to on the business side of the industry is tight lipped about it, or says it never happened. I suppose the truth lies somewhere in between once you remove all the pussyfooting and internet gossip surrounding this incident. Of course something serious must have transpired in order for her agency to drop her. The other thing I want to clear up is her substance use/abuse, is there any truth to claims that she uses drugs? I think this issue has taken a life of its own and once again the truth is out there, albeit somewhere way out there. Again when I interacted with her she seemed "robotic" at times almost as if she was reciting a prepared script, glazed eyes, emotionless at times, etc. A far cry from the Lana I first met when she started exotic dancing.

I know people on here comment on her looks and speculate if she got any surgical enhancements etc. I saw her late last year at her old club and she was still beautiful in person and in my opinion did not look like she had any work done. If she did, who cares? If she did not, of course she will look different from 3-4 years ago, the human body changes and ages...no one looks the same forever. Deep down Lana is still the same mid western sweet heart that I got to know as an exotic dancer. I don't think she was cut out for this industry at the end of the day, despite her thinking at some point she could do it. Her "swan song" letter from a few years ago (cannot remember when) about quitting the industry I think sheds light onto her current state of mind and its sad because she really is a genuinely awesome and rad girl. Lana in my opinion is a beautiful soul on the inside and is too fragile for the industry. When she lashes out and acts irrationally I genuinely believe its a cry for help on some level. I welcome all opinions, thoughts, etc regarding my post here, but want people to refrain from hurling insults.

Lana if you ever read this, never ever lose that mid west soul and charm. I know its still in you.....
