Don't lose your love of France Pierre...
...but I understand what you mean when in Paris authorities are closing some streets so they can pray in the street because the Mosque is too small,and everyday seems like more Hijab on the streets
It can be depressing to see this and feel like a Great culture and society starts to be degraded from the inside .
I think for sure it was a mistake to allow these numbers of immigration to France,in UK many people feel the same.
The numbers is the real problem...100,000 not a real problem as people must integrate to survive..
But 1 million and more ..then these "communities" can decide we want this /we want that ,expecting the country to change for them ...and for sure this must be resisted!

But I think France is still a Great country and brought so much science ,literature,art,film and just beauty to this world and I admire the way of life.
Parts of Paris I'm sure you don't feel it now and maybe Marseilles too ,and you don't feel the "Joie de Vivre" there anymore!

Also,What Hollande is doing with the taxes I'm not sure it's the best,because so many tax avoiding rich came to London and young people looking for work too...we are now the 5th biggest French city!!And this helps us but not France losing talented people!

And keep the flat,it's great...I'm sure you will use it again!

Anyway,I love the language and like to visit more ..Vivre la France ...especially for delicious Sophie...a country that produces her can't be all bad !!
