@Einthart: wasn't you who was saying that this forum is for adult , with mature mind set ? But here now, it's you who act like a kid, asking to close a thread because you read something that you didn't like it, like a little kid....

Jean, light travels faster than sound, which is why you seemed bright until you spoke.

You randomly throw around nouns and words which you imagine sound brainy like North Korea (that may give you the flavor of intellectual bourgeoisie). But then a post later you stutter again incoherently about some other being a kid.

You are actually more disappointing than an unsalted pretzel.

I read Putin's full statement regarding the situation and I must say he has a very objective and relevant view on what has been happenning geopolitically these last decades "thanks to" Western ideologies (US/EU), it's the ugly truth and they don't want to be the next Syria.

The only threat I can see is our policital leaders going head on against him (and possibly China) on the ground of artifices, they clearly don't give a flying f*ck about Ukraine and its people, nor about "democracy", they never have and never will but now the opponent is a nuclear power with strong relations, so they better stop their barking.

+ the "threats" from Macron are so irritating when we all know that we, French people, will have to pay the price (fuel, gas, wheat prices will explode) if not with money, maybe with our own blood, while these horrible "leaders" will watch from a distance. It's no sanctions against Russia, it's basically and once more a sanction against ourselves. Don't trust them.

Well you obviously also do by writing such a nice sympathy statement for Putin and not even once mentioning that his statements about "the aggression of Ukraine", "necessary Un-Nazification of the Ukraine" (!!!) and "sending forces to Ukraine to pacify" etc. are (nicely sent) completely lunatic?!?
Oh well, and you see it also not as a threat that he attacks a sovereign European country because he is living a nostalgia about former Soviet glory?? The attack itself is also a part of what you see as "rational"?!?
Jesus, I can't believe what I read here!

I can admit the whole "Nazi" thing sounds like high level trolling.

Don't care for their women, but this is disgusting, horrible. But I guess war is in human nature. I wish Putin was more wiser and not falling into western mind games. I heard Boris Johnson talking about how is he ready to send military into Ukraine, but he can't protect countless refugee waves coming on a dinghy into his country.
A brutal dictator invades a contry in the heart of Europe. Totally unnecessary. Already lots of dead people and its horrifying .
Putin is condemned by USA Europe Australia Japan etc . Even close allies with shaky democracies like Turkey criticises Russia and Putin hard .

But somehow peolpe like you will somehow blame the west and its leaders heavily but appologize for horrible actions fom the dictator. And its always comes back to the same thing. You disagree with the Refugee/immigration policies . War, democracy is less important it seems. There are issues with immmigartions in parts of Europe but siding wih dictators over democracy and western leaders because immigartion policy makes you come off a lunatic .
Well, that's a laugh, calling someone brutal dictator, when he only protects interests of his country. And being condemned by all those countries is a laugh (well, save Japan). And yes, I will always blame the West. Syria, Iraq, Venezuela, Lybia, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia. Anyone who has a bit of brain and wasn't born yesterday see whose turd smells worse.

Let's see.. Support a coup in Ukraine, install vassal state government, send in arms by the plane and truck load for weeks and refuse to give Russia security guarantees in writing that Ukraine won't be in NATO. It's always the lead up and provocations that seem to be ignored after the response happens. You can punch the bear in the face for 8 years and not think that he's going to respond? I see CNN is fulfilling its sad role as propaganda again. Try to find the word "coup", "provocation" or "Budapest memorandum" in any of their "news" stories.

It is utterly idiotic and a sign how disconnected he is from any form of sense.

a) Stop trivializing Putin's actions. He is the one who invaded Ukraine, no one else. Hitler also defended himself that he was forced into invading Poland first and then France.
b) Stop with the "I heard ..." and then spreading fake news and Russian propaganda. That offends our intelligence. The severest thing Johnson is doing is closing down the books of three Russian banks and requesting the Champions League final to be relocated.
I've seen none of that in some people here. And it's not fake news.

We have experienced the worst strikes at personal freedom these last two years from the same people that are now telling us that we are at war to protect some other country (no disrespect to Ukraine but there's warzones all around the globe and nobody shade tears) and that concerns me a lot more than Ukraine and Russian imperialist wetdreams. Call me selfish but I'm no Putin admiror, just a citizen who's had enough of "democracy" supporters who f*ck their own people all the time.
