Of course money is the sad poison who force people to continue even in such situation. It was the case after the death of Michel Ricaud even if it was an accident from a mini tsunami and the fault of nobody excepted Michel himself who did not want run same way as me. But when you put a bullet inside two people, it's another psychological situation for Baldwin.
Myself in june 1993 I was only the photographer and the executive producer responsible of the money and production for Private and Berth Milton the owner of the company was clear, no 2 films made only one paid. I have had already advanced a lot of money to the team even the full salary to Michel Ricaud before leave Paris but some people had got only 20 %. So I explained everyone the decision of Berth Milton and it has started to become a huge mess. So I asked people to vote about stop or continue the production and only the make up refused to work !!!
So I have no idea with Hollywood what are the parameters facing such tragedy but if I was in the shoes of Alec Baldwin I could not continue ...
But I agree absolutely with you about that :
PWWhoever is responsible for the negligence should pay the price.
