The picture is from the HBO documentary about your life and career. Sadly over half of the dialogue is in what I think to be Hungarian(?) The insights into your work were very interesting. You are very persistent and strategic in your approach to women; constantly testing their comfort level, refocusing the conversation, overcoming their objections without coming across too pushy or domineering.

Your interviews are not coercive but I disagree with you when you say in the film that they are not manipulative.

Some people consider "manipulative" to be a negative term. You can take this negatively or not, I don't think it is negative, any more than it is negative in the way salesmen manipulate their customers into buying a car. As I see it there are different types of manipulation. There is manipulation that is abusive (i.e. threats, playing to fears) and there is manipulation that is neutral or positive (refocusing the conversation to the 'up-side' or asking 'what if' questions 'what if you spend the rest of your life wondering if you missed out on a great adventure?'). Positive or neutral manipulation is what is commonly called "persuasiveness" and I think you are extremely persuasive; I would not want to be in the board room negotiating against you.

And as you say, in the end people do have the right to decide for themselves.


I sincerely hope that a subtitled version of the documentary is released someday.

Thanks Brix, yes if we consider the way you said ( sorry for my english ! ) I could be compare to someone who want push somebody to buy his product, so on that point I agree I try to "manipulate" girls !!! But when people said that usually it's on the negative angular, always trying to get from me a guilty sentence like :
"yes i'm a bad man who manipulate poor little girls from east " !!! And this I denie because I just say that in a provocative way. The truth is I think it's normal to have discussion and try get from others to be on your side. Every day on TV you have reklam, advertising when you have a luch, or diner and they push you to buy their product.
It's also a kind of manipulation but it's part of our society and everyone think it's normal but when a porn producer try to do same with a girl and push her with kind words to accept his job, he is a bad manipulator !!! Huge inconsistency IMO ...

About HBO, yes I cant' understand how it's possible an US company is not able to do correct english subtitle for one of their broacast...
