Pour la petite anecdote, en 2003 au Japon, je déjeunais avec Sophie dans un petit restaurant et deux papi/mami américain s'engueulaient " I'm sure it's Bruce Willis, no it's Kevin Costner, no I'm sure it's Bruce Willis, shut up stupid you are I watch the TV more than you, it's Kevin Costner " etc comme ça pendant un long moment et on était mort de rire !!!

There is still a sizeable Hungarian minority in Romania, so it's not a contradiction that a girl has a Romanian passport while speaking Hungarian (can also happen with a Serbian, Slovak or even Ukrainian one, but less common). In fact, there used to be people in the isolated Székely Land, who don't even speak Romanian, because they live amongst themselves – not sure it's still the case, but it was like that well into the 1990s.
Meanwhile a lot of them got offered a Hungarian passport for nationalistic reasons, but this is an old video.

In general, ethnical denomination here refers to the passport and there are enough people with very diverse roots in almost all countries.

To give you another example, if you look up IMDB, which is in fact a whole another level of seriosity and ressource, they quote Candice Demellza as Romanian, while she is presented here as Serbian.
Again, this needn't be a contradiction, because there is mixed population around the border between Serbia and Romania (and even further inside the countries), not to speak of the possibilities of mixed marriage, growing up abroad in diplomatic or military service or with parents working in a field that makes them live outside their home country.
