Membership upgrades - new platinum member

Hi - I just tried logging in & the screen said that I had no account. I was a gold member & have not missed a payment, so no idea why I suddenly have no account. I go to the sign up page & I'm offered platinum membership & remembered the same thing happened when I got my gold status.
Why is there a need to cancel our membership in order to go from one level to another? Surely there has to be a smoother way of doing this. Even an email informing us that we have to re-sign up would be preferable, but I got nothing at all.
Very odd behaviour.

Yes this membership transition from one level to the next is not 2022 it is something from the dark ages of internet, for loyal members their should be a fluent transition without our own intervention !

I reached Grael Level some months ago and just realized I was still paying the monthly rate. When I contacted support they told me they would contact CCBill to stop charges. That should also be a smooth transition with no action on the part of the subscriber necessary.

There is ONLY ONE processor CB giving possibilities to do what you ask me and I don't work with them.
Bank are crazy and ask many things making my life complicate but it's anyway great that I can make this system of reward possible. Does many other site do it ???
Does many site give you possibility one day be a life member for free ???
I don't think so ...

I think its really amazing that you reward loyalty like this Pierre. Even if it doesn't go as smooth as some would like, its absolutely NOTHING to complain about.

I will reach that level in the near future!
I am more than happy to go through whatever hoops I must to become that life member. I have said many times that this is the only site to which I subscribe...no other.
