Hi Pierre,
Need advise from you since you are a professional.
I want to have sex with a girlfriend and we both want to do blood tests before we indulge in it without any protection. Can you tell me what blood tests we need to do to know if we both can have sex without condom?
Thanking you in advance.
cheers,

She may have to specify an HPV test, as it is not a blood test, and not a PAPS. It may be different in some counties, but in the US it's not part of the regular evaluation and not all GYN's suggest it, yet. If she does not get this test with her PAPS, it's always a good idea to add it to the yearly evaluation.

Yes, it's a shame we are behind on this. There is a larger push for it in recent years, but it is not part of the regular exam. I think too many women mistakenly think that the PAPs is sufficient to catch all abnormality. Or, they are unaware how easy the HPV test is.
