Philosophy of Pornography

Porn and philosophy are my two big interests, so why not combine them! The question I have today is, "Does mainstream pornography objectify men MORE then women?"

I say yes. Unlike what radical feminists say, porn isn't just about the woman's body but also her feelings and reactions. She has complete control over the scene, able to stop actors and directors whenever she isn't comfortable, can moan as often or as little as she likes, gets to choose the actors if she's famous, gets paid more, and is the center of attention.

A lot of porn consumers don't even care what the name of the man in a scene is so long as he does his job well. The men are reduced to mere phallic objects that exist solely to fulfill and satisfy the woman on the screen. Indeed for most movies we don't see the man's face until AFTER the initial five minute blowjob, and in POV scenes we never see the man's face at all.

For me, especially if the scene involves two or more men, I'd like to see them wear masks so I can fully concentrate on the woman. I absolutely hate it when the camera films the man's face while he's ejaculating.

Yes I agree also ! It's never nice to see a man face during the cum shot if you're hetero ! But also porn video are watched by gay who think the opposite ...
Myself I did it many times on big productions because we had often a cut or because the girls did a mistake, and to put a man face was the only solution to keep it looking fully natural ...
But personnaly ... I hate it !!!
