Maybe some of the Spanish members in this forum have already seen this reportage from Rec - Reporteros Cuatro called "Ricos gracias al porno"

One hour long TV program explaining that many people complain about Internet (Vivid, Evil Angel, and old media) but there are others who are making money from the Internet and many others who are pirating and publishing it for free.
The program takes place mostly in San Fernando Valley, where they interview local performers as well as known actors such as Lexington Steele, Nacho Vidal.
They mention that by working in the industry you can earn 2000-3000 dollar per week as a female (with a remuneration of 1000 dollar per scene) and that as a male doing 20-25 scenes per week you can earn a similar quantity, 12000 dollar per month; however, not many people earn that because among other things, there are less scenes being filmed nowadays. On the other side of the Atlantic, in Barcelona, the pay is much lower and an actress earns around 250 USD per scene.
They also mention other numbers such as there are 2500 million email per day containing adult related material or 28000 persons in the world watch porn every second.
Lexington Steele acknowledges that nowadays his main source of income is merchandising of sex toys and penis replicas. He produces around 4-5 movies per month with an average budget per movie of 15000USD. But the whole industry films around 350 scenes per day.
Nacho Vidal affirms that he has been hardly hit by the changes in porn consumption, 5 years ago his movies sold around 15000 units per month, now it is less than 10% of that. He also mention that his costs average around 600€ per scene whereas in the past it used to be 2000€.
They also go an interview the boss of IFG, an Spanish producer, Salvador Diago. He says that the Spanish industry barely makes money. Around 20m € per year. Consumption has grown but most of it comes from piracy. IFG movie website attracts around 4m visitors per month but less than 60% come back once they realize that it is a paid website and only 2000 become paid members.
On the other hand, Marco Banderas a Spanish actor/producer living in the Valley mentions that the porn industry is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. He is now filming around 35 scenes per month (during the crisis only 20).
Chris Mann and John Stagliano (Buttman) from Evil Angel are also interviewed. He considers himself as the creator of the "gonzo" genre. Stagliano says that free porn on the Internet can be compared to stealing. C.Mann says that E.A sees an advantage -specialization- You do not longer need to create a product who pleases millions of consumers rather porn producers need to do thousands of products who attract hundreds of customers. They say that out of 650k visitors only 3500 become paid members.
Chris Mann describes the current strategy of E.A and is to work together with the YouTubes for adults, give them small 4-5min videoclips of their 45min productions and request a link to the official website of Evil Angel.
The Romanian former actor turned director for E.A, Raul Cristian, says that the business is doing bad and it will be impossible to erradicate all those YouTubes for adults. Nevertheless, Evil Angel mentions that until now all of their films have recovered their production costs and have not turned any loses.
The program concludes by revealing that until now the only Internet product which cannot be pirated and is quite profitable are paid erotic video-based chats. Normal average street girls who work from their homes earn between 1600 and up to 2000 euro per month. However, Sophie Evans, an adult performer, mentions that also professional female performers are making an income from videochats.
Administrators of such video chat websites reveal that their average up to 10mio € per year. It is hence a profitable business.
